i wonder how many attempts it took to take this photo?
as always, boston's 'the big picture' is a collection of stunning photographs. this one stood out to me to me from their best of 2009 series.

i would list jeff buckley playing at sin-é, in front of a crowd of maybe 50 or so people as my number one dream concert. above a packed crowd watching led zeppelin at madison square gardens, above the beatles on the rooftop, even above pink floyd doing the berlin leg of their the wall tour. i can't really explain why, but there is something so raw, so intimate, so real (pun intended) about live at sin-é.
the solo phantom tour was jeff buckley going back to sin-é. back to being a 'nobody' and doing what he did better than almost anyone i've ever heard - play beautiful music.

i've been riding a bit lately and used a bunch of different apps to track my rides. i like doing this as it gives me extra motivation, through competing with a mate of mine and also trying to beat my times, averages etc.
the beatles: rock band now has the entire 'abbey road' album available for download. coming soon is 'sgt. pepper's lonely hearts club band' in november, with 'rubber soul' coming in time for christmas. awesome.
